Job summary

Foundation of the Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Substitute Cook Aide for a flexible, part-time schedule. You will assist in meal prep, keep the kitchen clean, and support dining areas while transporting food between program sites. Training provided for taking over duties in the Cook’s absence.

The role emphasizes teamwork, health and safety standards, and PBIS-aligned program philosophy, with supportive staff and opportunities to gain childcare experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or eighth-grade education; two years’ experience.
• Must possess a valid PA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist our Cook in preparing meals and snacks.
• Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining area.
• Help with table setting and meal service as needed.
• Transport food and supplies between program sites.
• Take over cooking duties in the Cook’s absence (training provided).
• Support classroom staff by washing toys and maintaining cleanliness in shared spaces.
• Keep open communication with the Cook and follow all program policies and procedures.

Hours

Flexible, typically between 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM
