Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions in Adelphi, MD, is seeking a Cook for a nursing facility. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes, plate and garnish dishes, and support the Dietary Manager in their absence to ensure smooth meal production.

You will manage kitchen sanitation, inventory, and supply purchasing, and flexibly handle special events. Full-time employees receive PTO and insurance benefits; must be available every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
