Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a Line Cook to sharpen culinary skills by preparing menu items for prepackaged meals and hot food bars. You'll join a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen where every day brings a new challenge and plenty of room to grow your career.

You'll work with experienced chefs, follow recipes, and apply proper knife skills to deliver high-quality meals. Availability includes mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, with shifts ending as late as 9:30pm.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a production kitchen.
• Prep work experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver incredible customer service by preparing ingredients and creating high-quality meals
• Follow recipes, use proper knife skills, and apply cooking techniques to ensure consistency
• Effectively multitask and balance prep work while ensuring meals are prepared in a timely manner
• Understand how products look and taste at their peak of perfection
• Assist with ordering to help maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimize waste
