Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a dedicated kitchen cook to prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals for large groups in a busy facility. You will clean and maintain kitchen areas and ensure timely production of quality food for meals and events.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 3 years of experience cooking for large groups, and some experience coordinating kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years’ experience cooking for large groups with some experience coordinating the work of other kitchen staff.
• Food Manager Certification or obtain within 30 days of hiring.
• Valid State driver’s license optional.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work is performed in a normal kitchen environment where there may be limited physical discomforts associated with working around hot stoves/ovens or cold freezers.
