Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cook 3 | Ryder Cup Grille (Full Time) to join our team. Omni Frisco PGA Resort will feature 127,000 sq ft of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, a luxurious spa, and a full entertainment district. With two championship 18-hole golf courses and a third short course, we offer excellent options for dining, events, and entertainment for our guests and the local community.

The Ryder Cup Grille Cook 3 will ensure food is prepared according to menu specifications in a timely and safe manner. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and work with leadership to deliver memorable culinary experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food, perform related culinary functions, taste and season appropriately.
  • Demonstrate strong culinary skills with intermediate proficiency in culinary functions.
  • Work with minimal supervision, following guidance as needed.
  • Understand various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Utilize and prepare food with products and ingredients in use in the kitchen.
  • Maintain knowledge of traditional knife skills and apply them consistently.
  • Move between stations following Omni and Chef standards.
  • Perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Execute soups and sauces with minimal supervision.
  • Prioritize, organize, and follow through on tasks.
  • Work well under pressure to meet schedules and guest orders.
  • Follow safety and health standards, including EcoSure standards.
  • Assist in setting up and stocking stations with minimal supervision.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists accurately.
  • Maintain proper use and safety of equipment.
  • Ensure food quality and timely service.
  • Communicate needs during busy periods to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques (e.g., Braising, Sautéing, Baking, Roasting, Poaching, Grilling, Steaming, Frying).
  • Fundamental knife skills.
  • Ability to read and execute basic recipes.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and conversions.
  • Good coordination for using kitchen equipment.
  • Experience in high-volume hotel, upscale restaurant, or catering environment (preferably 1 year).
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards; ServeSafe certification preferred.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Professional culinary appearance and attitude.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
