Job description

MUST HAVE STATE CERTIFICATION (SERVSAFE FOOD PROTECTION MANAGER CERTIFICATION)!!

Hours: 1pm-7pm

Allure of Prophetstown is looking for a caring and energetic individual to join our Dietary department. We are looking for qualified Cooks to prepare well-balanced and nutritious meals.

A Cook Qualifications:
  1. Be able to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and work assignments.
  2. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  3. Must possess a general knowledge and understanding of state and federal regulations as it pertains to long-term care.
  4. Must have a food handlers certificate or completion of the certificate within 30 days after hire.
Responsibilities:
  1. Prepares and serves nutritious meals according to the menu.
  2. Monitors methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning.
  3. Ensures all health, safety, and environmental health standards are achieved and maintained.
  4. Prepare and serve food for diets as ordered by the physician.
  5. Follow menus as ordered.

The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.

Job Types: Full-Time; every other weekend

Pay: $15.00

Schedule: 1pm-7pm, every other weekend
