Prepares meals for the community corrections facility, consisting of preparing and cooking meats, vegetables, special dishes and baking and preparing desserts.
Preps meals for residential staff to cook when meals are outside of normal work hours/days.
Cleans kitchen equipment such as stoves, work tables, mechanical mixers, kettles, steam cookers, etc. Cleans dining room and kitchen areas.
Stocks pantry and storeroom weekly when deliveries are received.
Assists residential staff in routine security matters related to the food service operation.
Hours: 1st shift Sat & Sun 9:30am – 5:30pm, 2nd shift Wed-Fri 2:00pm - 10:00pm or variable as needed.

Must satisfactorily complete a background investigation, including criminal history data. Barring reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act, employees must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license, and the ability to be insured under the district's auto insurance coverage. Must adhere to the use of universal precautions in the performance of job duties in order to minimize the potential risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Will be required to be certified in First Aid and CPR.
Experience equal to one year of full-time quantity food production in a commercial, military, hospital, or institutional setting; OR successful completion of a military, vocational, or community college program in commercial cooking; OR employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to six months of full-time work as a Food Service Worker.
