Job summary

Countryside Senior Living of Lufkin is seeking a Full-Time 2nd Cook to assist in preparing all foods according to menu plans and standardized recipes, ensuring safety, efficiency and timely service for our residents.

Flexibility is required to work overtime, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts; the role may include light housekeeping and maintenance tasks. A background check is required and a passion for helping others is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of all foods according to a menu plan and standardized recipes in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
• Get feedback from residents to provide top notch quality while utilizing the pantry efficiently.
• Monitor inventory, expiration dates and meal schedules.
• Perform kitchen and dining room cleanup duties after meals to uphold sanitary standards.
• Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor which may include housekeeping and light maintenance.
