Job summary

Countryside Senior Living of Lufkin is seeking a 2nd Cook to join our day shift team. You will assist in preparing all meals according to menu plans and standardized recipes, while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and timely service for our residents.

You will gather resident feedback to improve quality, monitor inventory and meal schedules, and adapt to flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Join a safe, modern and intimate facility that values dignity and active living for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of all foods according to a menu plan and standardized recipes in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
• Collects feedback from residents to improve quality while using pantry efficiently.
• Monitors inventory, expiration dates, and meal schedules for smooth operation.
• Performs kitchen and dining room cleanup to maintain sanitary standards.
• Adapts to a variety of duties; may include housekeeping and light maintenance as needed.
• Works scheduled shifts including overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
