• Follow standardized recipes and production records
• Ability to read and follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Responsibilities

• Read menus to estimate food needs and procure ingredients
• Prepare and cook food per recipes and production records
• Adjust oven, broiler, grill, roaster and steam kettle temperatures
• Measure and mix ingredients with standard kitchen tools
• Bake, roast, broil and steam foods under supervision and add seasonings
• Taste and assess food for doneness
• Carve, portion and garnish plates as directed
• Wash, trim and portion fruits and vegetables; handle seafood as directed
• Bake breads and pastries as instruction permits
• Maintain clean work area and equipment per sanitation standards
• Interact courteously with customers and teammates
• Ensure compliance with service standards and inventory controls
