Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Executive Chef, and/or Sous Chef, the Cook II performs skilled production of all types of food for patients, staff, and visitors, including therapeutic diets. The primary responsibility is to prepare hot and cold foods accurately from standardized recipes, clean equipment and work areas following established procedures, operate food service equipment under supervision, and perform related activities. The role also involves attending scheduled meetings and training, issuing and inventorying food items, participating in inventory and cost control, and performing computer-related activities, all in alignment with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
