Job summary

Portillo’s is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve its classic menu items in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring quality, sanitation and a clean station while collaborating with team members to meet customer demand.

The Cook will handle Italian Beef, burgers, hot dogs, fries and other entrees, prepare fresh vegetables and sauces, maintain portion control and follow safety standards to keep lines moving efficiently during high-volume periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments is preferred.
• Must have worked at Portillo’s for at least 1 year with an average of 20 hours over a 6‑month period.

Compensation

Base pay: $15.50 per hour.Additional pay: $2 per hour for all hours worked after 11pm, $2 per hour when working outside in temperatures below 33°F, and $3 per hour for holidays (Easter, Memorial Day, July4, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day). Daily pay is available.
