Job summary

Portillo’s in Deerfield, IL is hiring a full‑time Cook/Kitchen team member to prepare all classics to order, from Italian Beef to Burgers and Fries. You will keep your station spotless, work with teammates to move lines quickly, and ensure proper portions and high quality while maintaining food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Performs cook-and-assemble duties for classics (Italian Beef, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fries, etc.)

• Demonstrates a team-oriented attitude and helps teammates as needed
• Ensures proper portion control and monitors food levels during shifts

Cook / Kitchen Responsibilities

• Prepare all the classics to order, including Italian Beef, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fries and more.
• Prepare fresh vegetables, sauces and other items by following provided recipes and upholding our commitments to quality and sanitation.
• Keep your station spotless and serve as part of the show.
• Work as a team player to help and serve others (team members and guests).
• Work with a sense of urgency to keep long lines moving smoothly.
• Maintain proper portion control and monitor food levels throughout the shift.

Compensation and Benefits

Hot dog! The pay rate for this role is $16.00 per hour. This position is also served with:

• Additional $2/hour for all hours worked after 11pm.
• Additional $2/hour when working outside in temperatures below 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
