Job summary

Briarwood Health Center by Harborview in Tucker, GA is seeking a compassionate Cook for our nursing home kitchen. You will prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and physician orders, helping ensure timely, accurate, and satisfying meals for residents.

The role requires following verbal and written diet orders, maintaining food safety and sanitation, and lifting/bending/standing for long periods in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care dietary setting is preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including diet orders and menus.
• Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with the director of dietary services.
• Work with a sense of urgency to ensure meals are timely, accurate, and satisfying.
