Woodlake Legacy Senior Living in Wheat Ridge, CO is hiring a Cook to join our dining services team. You will prepare nourishing meals for residents, follow menus, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years cooking experience, familiarity with large-volume food prep, and a Serv Safe certification. This full-time role offers a competitive wage and a supportive team in a residents-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years experience as a Cook.
• Hospital or skilled nursing food service experience preferred.
• Experience cooking a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Food Handler or Serv Safe certification.
• Focus on nutritious, non-processed meals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe culinary environment in the facility using infection control procedures.
• Kitchen and equipment will be clean and organized; safe food temperatures according to regulations.
• Dishes will be cleaned and properly stored after every meal.
• Follow the provided food menu for nutritionally sound meals, with resident needs in mind.
• Assist in Health Department inspections if needed on your shift.
• Prepare nourishing meals and snacks using non-processed foods when possible.
• Report shortages or needs of snacks or meal ingredients to the Culinary Lead.
• Report broken or malfunctioning equipment to Culinary Lead immediately.
• May take extra shifts or help with special occasions.
• This may include early morning or evening hours.

• Kitchen and equipment will be clean and organized at all times. Safe food temperatures will be maintained at all times according to regulations.


• Dishes will be cleaned and properly stored after every meal.


• Follow the provided food menu for nutritionally sound meals, with the needs and preferences of the residents kept in mind.


• Contact the Lead or Resident Services Manager to assist in Health Department inspections if they occur on your shift.


• Prepare and offer nourishing meals and snacks using as many non-processed foods as possible.


• Report shortages or needs of snacks or meal ingredients to the Culinary Lead.


• Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to Culinary Lead immediately.
