Husson University Dining Services in Bangor, ME is seeking a dedicated food service worker to assist in the basic preparation and service of meals on campus. You will help manage food portions for large groups and maintain clean dining and kitchen areas.

The role requires good grooming, a supplied uniform, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will train with the department, support catered events, and guide student employees while upholding food safety standards.

Qualificações

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience: Six months of culinary experience preferred

• The overall purpose of this job is to assist in the basic food preparation and service of meals.
• Serve and maintain food quantities for large numbers of people.
• Assist with general cleaning chores in the dining area and kitchen.
• Set up, break down and maintain independent serveries.
• Provide assistance with catered functions and retail operations.
• Provide guidance to student employees.
• Be well groomed and wear the proper issued uniform.
• Assist with stocking as requested.
• Assist with dishwashing as requested.
• Participate in training, as well as other departmental function requirements.
• Other duties as requested.
• Lift and carry 50 pounds; Occasionally push and pull equipment on wheels that weighs up to 150 pounds

• Basic knife skills.
• Knowledge of basic cooking methods.
• Knowledge of proper/safe time and temperature for food handling.

• Ability to work well independently as well as within a team.
• Serve-Safe Certified, or the ability to become certified.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
