Job summary

Rock & Brews is seeking a Cook 1 for our Milwaukee venue to help produce high-quality dishes consistent with our standards. You will perform basic to intermediate cooking tasks, maintain cleanliness, and assist with food preparation for a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reliability with flexible shifts, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work with the culinary team to ensure guest satisfaction and safe, sanitary operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3 to 6 months of related cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days.
• Ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months.
• Maintain discretion when handling confidential information.
• Interact with guests and team members professionally.
• Work irregular hours including late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Physically capable to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance and work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate food prep and cooking duties (washing, peeling, cutting, measuring).
• Assemble, garnish, and finalize presentation of dishes.
• Safely use and clean kitchen surfaces, ovens, grills, fryers, and knives.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment with Stewards.
• Learn more advanced kitchen duties and assist other culinary team members.
• Assist in storing and rotating inventories as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties as required.
• Work at other kitchens/venues as assigned based on business needs.
• Operate in compliance with departmental policies and regulations.
