In this role as a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards to deliver outstanding service.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of cooking experience in a hotel/restaurant environment. Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and operating all kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, broilers, steamers, kettles, etc.) following proper manuals or chefs’ instructions. Basic mathematical skills are necessary to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts, and portion sizes. Ability to read, write, and speak English to complete requisitions, read recipes, and communicate with team members. Manual dexterity to use kitchen tools like knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, etc. Ability to work in confined spaces, perform duties within extreme temperature ranges, and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to work a full shift (8 hours), standing and walking, with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
