Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Cook 1 to prepare food to guest orders, follow recipes, and maintain mise en place in a safe, clean kitchen. You will set up stations for lunch and dinner, ensure health code compliance, and label/store items as needed.

Role emphasizes strong leadership, meticulousness, and a sense of urgency, with teamwork and excellent communication as core requirements for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards.
• Complete mise en place and set-up station for lunch and/or dinner service; operates, upholds and properly cleans kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas.
