Job summary

Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Food Runner to deliver items promptly, clear and reset tables, and support the wait staff in a luxury hotel setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in food service, strong presentation and guest‑service skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Flexibility to work a fast-paced schedule is required, with opportunities for training and employee meals included.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food items from kitchen to tables accurately and promptly.

• Stock linens, china, glass, silverware, and prep smaller items as needed.
• Breakdown and clean side stations and back-of-house areas.

About The Role

The Food Runner services restaurant areas by promptly delivering food items, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting wait staff.

What You Will Do

• Pick up food items from kitchen, check order for accuracy and quality before delivering and serve guest.
• Promptly clear, clean and set‑up tables, chairs, linens, china, glass, and silverware for service in a discreet manner.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Assist in stocking linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service; assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages.
• Breakdown, clean and set‑up side stations and back of house areas.

What You Bring

• At least 6 months of food service experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills: ability to multi‑task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs.
