Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center in Windham, CT is hiring a Cook. The role offers full-time, part-time, or PRN options with shifts from 5:30AM-1:30PM and 11:00AM-7:00PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include preparing meals per menus and dietary needs, reviewing menus, maintaining safety and sanitation, and collaborating with the dietitian and CNAs to support resident care. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of Cook experience,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1+ year experience as a Cook in a commercial setting.
• Serv Safe Managers Certificate.
• Prior experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to function both independently and as a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English communication (spoken and written).

• Collaborate with the dietitian and interdisciplinary team, including CNAs, to implement dietary recommendations and support quality resident care.
