Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
• Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services.
• Prepare food in accordance for therapeutic diets and special diet orders.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other appliances.
• Ensure all food handling practices meet safety standards and food safety management protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area through regular cleaning, sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
• Follow food safety procedures diligently, including proper knife skills, slicing techniques, and portion control.
