Job summary

The Arbor Company in New Jersey is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents, following established recipes and dietary modifications. You will help with stock, ensure safety and sanitation, and assist the Dining Director with prep and service flow.

Experience in food service, plus a culinary background, is preferred. This full-time role offers growth opportunities and a supportive work environment with a focus on resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training, or restaurant cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care preferred.
• Experience with large batch cooking (100 people) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals per established recipes, accommodate diet modifications, and follow menu cycles.
• Assist with stock deliveries, rotate products, and maintain regulatory records.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety per schedules and protocols.
• Coordinate with Dining Director on prep, production, and service flow.
