Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking a Cook in Norwood, NJ. You will prepare meals for residents, follow established recipes, accommodate dietary modifications, and participate in menu cycles. You will assist with stock deliveries and ensure food safety standards are met.

We value teamwork, communication with the Dining Director, and positive resident relations. A culinary degree or training is preferred; prior large-batch cooking experience is a plus. The position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control, and cooking procedures.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care preferred.
• Experience with large batch cooking (100 people) a plus.
• Ability to maintain positive resident relations through courtesy and cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service and create meals using established recipes, diet modifications and menu cycles.
• Assist with food stock deliveries, rotation of products and regulatory log requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by following cleaning schedules and protocols.
• Communicate with the Dining Director on prep, production and flow of service.
