Avir Vista is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family. We are looking for a resident, family‑focused team builder excited about helping foster a positive facility culture and preparing high‑quality foods for all regular and modified diets served to residents, guests and staff.

You will ensure all prep and cooking complies with State Health Rules and facility standards. If you are team‑oriented, driven, and eager to care for our residents, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
