Luther Manor is seeking a part-time Cook to join our Dining Services team in Wisconsin. You will prepare starches and assist with entrées for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while following dietary restrictions for residents.

Our team serves a senior community with a commitment to high-quality care. The role includes working 9:00am-6:30pm, every other weekend holiday rotation, and potential growth within a faith-based, non-profit organization.

Qualifications

• Must have prior cooking experience.
• Experience in quantity food production or equivalent.
• Basic math skills for adjusting recipes (measuring, scaling).
• Knowledge of safe, productive use of kitchen machines (mixers, processors, slicers, steamers, ovens).
• Ability to work in a kitchen with temperatures ranging from -8 to 100 degrees.
• Must be able to lift and transport containers averaging 50 lbs.

Our Dining Services department is a trusted partner to care for and provide excellent care to our residents. As a Cook you will prepare starches and assists with entrée preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Luther Manor cooks follow specific dietary restrictions and provides alternatives for our residents.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Previous cooking experience
• Experience in quantity food production or its' equivalent
• Basic math skills when adjusting recipes which includes measuring and scaling
• Knowledge of safe and productive use of kitchen machines including mixers, processors, slicers, steamers, and computer-aided ovens
• Ability to work in a kitchen environment which includes enduring temperatures ranging from -8 degrees to 100 degrees
• Must be able to transport and empty food containers with an average weight of 50 lbs
• Reports directly to the Sous-Chef or Executive Chef
