Purpose:

Assist the Food Services Director in managing the Food Services Department, including food ordering, preparation, delivery, and cleanliness, in compliance with health regulations. Help maintain a positive environment for residents.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Preferred culinary arts training or equivalent experience
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families, and work cooperatively with staff and vendors
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, and the public
• Reliable attendance
• Meet all state health requirements and obtain Food Handlers Permit as required
• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Essential Functions:

• Assist in staff scheduling, orientation, and equipment maintenance; ensure safety and sanitation compliance
• Prepare nutritious and appealing food, accommodate dietary needs, and maintain cleanliness
• Attend all required training
• Ensure compliance with residents’ rights regulations
