About the Role

Cheshire House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, part of Ryder's Health Management's family-owned management company, is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents. Our commitment is to provide the full continuum of post-acute care, and your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the dining experience for our residents.

Location: Waterbury, Connecticut

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Manage inventory and ordering of food and supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring freshness
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to develop menus and special diets as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring residents\' needs are met and their satisfaction is high
  • Maintain accurate records of food preparation, inventory, and waste
