Job summary

Riverside is a proud affiliate of National Health Care Associates, located at 745 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut. We are seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals that meet dietary needs, enhance residents’ quality of life, and contribute to a compassionate dining experience.

As part of a caring team, you will follow menus, maintain safety and sanitation standards, and support dietary staff with menu planning and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Safe knife handling skills.
• Experience operating commercial slicers, ovens, grills, large blenders, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions for the safe use, cleaning and care of dietary equipment, preparation and service areas
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

As a Cook on our team, you will prepare and serve appetizing meals while ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met. Your culinary skills will contribute to creating a positive dining experience that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
