Job summary

Lawrence Healthcare in Walnut Ridge, AR is seeking a Cook to join our Food Services team. The cook will prepare meals, follow the daily menu, and work with management to adjust recipes as needed, while ensuring inventory levels are accurate and up to date.

You will also help with cleaning the cafeteria, kitchen and dish room, and support other team members to deliver high-quality patient and staff meals. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, take verbal instruction and perform basic arithmetic.
• Experience with following daily menus and adjusting recipes as needed.
• Ability to maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate with management on menu changes.
• Willingness to assist with cleaning duties in cafeteria, kitchen and dish room.

Job Objective/Summary:

The Cook is a key player on our Food Services team. The cook responsible for preparing and cooking great tasting meals. The cook follows a daily menu and confers with management team when menu changes are required. The cook also works with the Director of Food Services to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained. The cook will also assist other Food Services team members with cleaning of the cafeteria, kitchen and dish room.

Job Educations, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have the ability to read, write, take verbal instruction and perform basic arithmetic.
