Job summary

Edgewood Healthcare is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare meals for residents, staff, and guests in a 180-bed community. You will follow established menus, assist with events, and keep the kitchen and dining area clean and compliant with safety standards.

Edgewood offers a supportive team environment, input into menu planning, and opportunities for growth. Applicants must be 18+, with background check and drug screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred.
• Active ServSafe Certification; Edgewood provides training.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Employment contingent on background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents, staff, and guests per menus/recipes.
• Plan and prep for resident and staff events.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and dining room.
• Assist with budgeting, inventory management, and production control.
• Follow HIPAA and Edgewood policies.

As a Cook at Edgewood, you’ll prepare meals and provide an outstanding dining experience for the most amazing folks on the planet - our residents!

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for our residents, staff, and guests based on company-established menus and recipes
• Help plan and meal prep for resident and employee special events
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and dining room
• Assist with achieving budget goals, inventory management, and production control
• Follow HIPAA and all other Edgewood policies

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience, desired
• Active ServSafe Certification, desired Edgewood will provide any required training and certification
• Passion and drive for helping others
• Willingness to train new employees
• A desire to continue learning and improving your skillset
• Employment eligibility requires candidates to be 18 years of age or older
• Edgewood offers of employment are contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
