Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center (VBPC) is a 100-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital located near the beautiful resort area of Virginia Beach, Virginia, just a short 10-minute drive to the oceanfront. VBPC offers acute psychiatric and substance abuse services for adults 18 years and older. The hospital is accessible 24 hours a day for admissions and includes mental health assessments and an excellent referral network. Treatment programs and specialty services at VBPC include substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and partial hospitalization.

Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center currently has a full-time Cook/Kitchen Staff position available. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays. The Cook/Kitchen Staff will prepare food for meals and special functions, including patient/staff trays, salads, and desserts. Responsibilities also include serving food, cleaning, stocking, sanitation, and trash removal.
The ideal candidate requires: a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or formal culinary education is preferred. Knowledge of food service, safety, and sanitation is essential. ServSafe Certification is preferred. Experience in cooking and meal preparation in a facility setting is also preferred.
