Job summary

Crestwood Behavioral Health in Vallejo, California invites applications for a Cook role within our behavioral health campus. The Cook supports dietary needs of clients in recovery, participates in mandatory in-service training, and follows the supervisor's schedule to meet daily mealtime service requirements.

The position is on-site with a focus on sanitary food-handling standards, and offers a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Previous experience in food service preferred.
• Knowledge of required sanitary techniques in food service.

Cook

The Cook supports all dietary or culinary requirements in service of the dietary needs of our clients in recovery. They will be expected to participate in all appropriate mandatory in-service classes. They will follow the work schedule as assigned by the supervisor and perform other position-appropriate tasks as assigned. The Cook shall fulfill these responsibilities in a timely manner so as to meet the daily mealtime service requirements.

About the Campus: Crestwood’s program in Vallejo is based on a commitment to providing mental health clients with a continuum of care that puts them well on the road to recovery. Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers (MHRCs) provide psychosocial rehabilitation programs in secure, residential settings with a focus on brief lengths of stay. Our Residential Care for Elderly (RCFE) supports independence, while providing health and wellness programs, managing both physical and behavioral problems, and promoting integration into the community.
