Brown University Health Bradley Hospital in East Providence, RI is seeking a hospital kitchen cook to prepare and distribute meals for patients and staff. You will review menus, plan cooking schedules, and control portions while maintaining nutritional quality and appearance.
The role requires knowledge of cooking techniques, at least 2–3 years in food service, and a Food Safety Manager certification with HACCP understanding. Shifts include mornings, evenings, and rotating weekends.
SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, responsibilities include the preparation and distribution of food for hospital patients and staff. Requires knowledge of cooking techniques and a complete familiarity with cooking operations and procedures.
Equivalent to 2 to 3 years experience in food service, Certified as Food Safety Manager by National Registry of Food and Safety Professionals, and a complete understanding of HACCP food safety.
