Meridian Senior Living in Yorktown, NY is hiring a Cook who will work with the Dining Services Manager to manage food ordering, preparation, and delivery for the community. You will ensure nutritious, appetizing meals, maintain kitchen sanitation, and provide excellent service to residents and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma, some food service experience, and a compassionate, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; training as required by state regulations.
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations.
• Previous experience working with the elderly.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
• Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks.

Details About The Cook Position We Are Hiring For
