Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is seeking a Cook in the Chapel Hill area to join our dining services team. You will work closely with the Dining Services Manager to manage food ordering, preparation and delivery, while keeping the kitchen clean and compliant with health standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, some prior food service experience, and a passion for working with the elderly. We offer extensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and complete required state training.
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Supervisory experience desirable.
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations.
• Previous experience working with the elderly.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to work as a team member or individually.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the public.
• Must meet health requirements and pass background checks.

Details about the Cook position we are hiring for:
