Job summary

The Plaza at Clover Lake is seeking a passionate Cook for a full-time role with a daytime/evening schedule and no late nights, to prepare nutritious, flavorful meals for residents in a supportive team. You’ll follow approved menus, meet dietary needs, maintain safe food handling and sanitation, supervise serving staff, and help create a positive dining experience in daily operations.

Requirements include 2 years of cooking or food service experience, 21 years or older, and successful completion

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cooking/food service experience
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, appetizing meals according to approved menus and recipes
• Ensure meals meet residents' nutritional needs and dietary preferences
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
• Minimize food waste while monitoring quality and presentation
• Supervise and support serving staff during meal service
• Maintain cleanliness and proper care of kitchen equipment
• Help create a positive dining experience for every resident
• Work collaboratively with the dining services team to ensure smooth daily operations

What You'll Do

As our Cook, you'll play an important role in providing residents with nutritious, flavorful meals while helping maintain a safe and efficient kitchen.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare fresh, appetizing meals according to approved menus and recipes

• Ensure meals meet residents' nutritional needs and dietary preferences

• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards

• Minimize food waste while monitoring quality and presentation

• Supervise and support serving staff during meal service

• Maintain cleanliness and proper care of kitchen equipment

• Help create a positive dining experience for every resident

• Work collaboratively with the dining services team to ensure smooth daily operations

What We're Looking For

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Minimum of 2 years of cooking/food service experience

• Previous supervisory experience is a plus

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, organized, and committed to quality service

• Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check

Schedule

• Full-Time (40 hours/week)

• Morning and afternoon/evening shifts

• Some weekend availability required

• No late-night shifts!
