Job summary

Steuben Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Bath, NY is hiring a Cook to prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods, including baking rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies, and to assist on the tray line during meal service.

The successful candidate will hold a healthcare cooking certification (SERV Safe or Sodexo), have at least one year of large-scale cooking experience, and demonstrate teamwork, customer service, and the ability to work physically.

Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare cooking (SERV Safe or Sodexo)
• Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking
• Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep
• Must be able to do some physical work
• Should be a strong team player
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Excellent customer service & communication skills
• Will manage Kitchen in absence of food service director
