Job summary

River Falls Post Acute in Marietta, South Carolina is looking for a dependable Cook to join our dietary team. You will help prepare nutritious meals for residents while keeping a clean, safe kitchen and serving meals per dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food service experience, preferably in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• At least 18 years old with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dietary Manager with meal preparation and food production.
• Prepare and serve meals following approved menus and recipes.
• Ensure meals meet physician-ordered dietary restrictions and special diets.
• Monitor food quality, presentation and portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with meal service and tray preparation as needed.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment as assigned.
• Collaborate with dietary staff and other departments to provide excellent resident care.
