Job summary

Manna Post Acute in Pickens, SC is seeking a dependable Cook to join our dietary team. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year cooking experience in a hospital, healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food preparation standards preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
• Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals are prepared according to physician-ordered diets and nutritional requirements.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal service.
• Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Follow all food safety regulations and infection control procedures.
• Properly store food and supplies according to regulatory standards.
• Assist with inventory management and food rotation procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support Dietary Aides and other dietary team members as needed.
• Maintain accurate records related to food safety and kitchen operations.
• Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
