Job summary

The Bistro at Pomegranate Market in Sioux Falls seeks an experienced kitchen cook who loves food, clean eating, and delivering excellent customer service. This is a full-time position with flexible shifts Monday through Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, sandwiches, taqueria items, soups, and beverages per recipes.
• Take customer orders and deliver food efficiently.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, mixers, knives, juicers, dishwashers).
• Maintain cleanliness of prep and dining areas.
• Replenish supplies and ensure quality standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team in English.
• Operate cash register and food scale when needed.

Job description

The Bistro at Pomegranate Market is seeking an experienced, motivated kitchen cook who loves food, clean eating, and delivering excellent customer service. This is a full-time position with flexible shifts Monday through Sunday. ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare salads, sandwiches, taqueria menu items, hot bar menu items, soups, fresh smoothies and other beverages according to recipes
• Take customer orders and deliver food and beverages efficiently
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, knives, juicers, and dishwashers
• Maintain cleanliness of prep areas, dining area, tables, counters, salad bar, and steam table
• Replenish supplies and ensure all products meet quality standards
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members in English
• Operate cash register and food scale when needed

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for long periods, bend, reach, lift up to 25lbs, and push/pull carts up to 50lbs
• Use hands and fingers to prepare, package, and serve food and beverages
