Compensation: $25.00-$30.39 per hour

Our Cascade Hall location offers a fantastic opportunity for a Cook to work in a 24-hour adult residential treatment facility. The role involves preparing and coordinating food services, working closely with a certified dietician to plan nutritious, well-balanced meals in accordance with WAC Assisted Living Guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Plan nutritious, well-balanced meals per WAC 246-316-170 and in consultation with a certified dietician
  • Maintain health practices and sanitation guidelines per agency standards
  • Keep the kitchen sanitary and organized, including routine cleaning
  • Post weekly menus and file menus for at least 6 months
  • Arrange food pick-up at donation sites
  • Order weekly food supplies
  • Provide menu supplies and preparation instructions for staff
  • Encourage resident participation in kitchen activities as part of life skills training
  • Maintain records according to agency guidelines
  • Attend staff, community meetings, and trainings as scheduled
  • Review logs and communicate emergencies
  • Provide crisis intervention when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Current Food Handlers card
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including holidays
  • Legible handwriting and basic math skills
  • Ability to read and understand agency policies
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
