**Responsibilities**
**Cook – St. Bernardine Medical Center**
As a Cook at St. Bernardine Medical Center, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting. Using safe food-handling and preparation techniques, you will support the delivery of meals that meet both general and therapeutic dietary requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Prepare meals in accordance with prescribed therapeutic diets and standard recipes.
+ Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met in compliance with state and federal regulations.
+ Maintain consistency and quality in food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
+ Support kitchen operations by monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely meal service.
+ Collaborate with the dietary and clinical teams to help ensure patient satisfaction and nutrition goals are met.

**Qualifications**
+ One (1) year food service experience.
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Food Handler Permit is a requirement by San Bernardino County; you must obtain it within 30 days of hire.
