Position Summary :

Cooks will prepare food items from scratch for our three store locations, ensuring the kitchen is clean, well-stocked, and that our food meets safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include customer service, food production, packaging, inventory management, stocking, safety, and sanitation.

Qualifications :
  • High-Volume Food Production : Experience in scratch cooking and adjusting recipes for varying servings.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene : Knowledge of safe food handling and cleanliness throughout the cooking process.
  • Communication : Effective and respectful communication with customers and team members.
  • Teamwork : Flexibility to support the changing needs of our team and store.
  • Time Management : Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Dependability : Consistent attendance and readiness to work.
  • Initiative : Proactively addressing department needs to prevent problems.
  • Knife Skills : Proficiency in basic and advanced knife techniques with a focus on safety.

  • Basic Math : Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately and timely.

Physical and Working Requirements :

This role involves frequent stationary tasks, movement within the kitchen, and handling containers up to 50 lbs. Tasks include reaching for items, ascending/descending ladders, and using equipment such as knives, mixers, ovens, and pallet jacks. Accurate communication in person and over the phone is essential. Occasional work in walk-in coolers and exposure to cleaning products, sanitizer, and loud noises are also part of the job.
