Care Initiatives is seeking a Cook in Iowa to contribute to menu planning and prepare meals that reflect residents' preferences while meeting nutritional guidelines.

You will serve meals that support comfort, dignity, and quality of life, ensuring nutrition and presentation meet standards. Interaction with residents is encouraged to tailor service and incorporate feedback, fostering a compassionate dining experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Healthcare dietary experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to menu planning and meal preparation, bringing creativity and personal flair while meeting nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
• Prepare and serve meals that create an enjoyable, dignified dining experience and support residents’ comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by engaging with them and incorporating feedback into meal service whenever possible.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:
