Job summary

Winning Wheels, Inc. in Prophetstown, IL, is seeking cooks to join our nonprofit rehab facility for young adults with spinal cord and brain injuries. We offer a full-time day shift (5a–1:30p, temporary) and a full-time swing shift (5a–1:30p or 11a–7:30p); a PRN cook is also welcome.

All positions require every other weekend and some holidays. As a cook, you will prepare meals, read recipes, prep ingredients, and serve residents, including texture-modified diets.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in a kitchen setting.
• Ability to read recipes and follow diets.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Must be a positive team player.
• Cook meals, read recipes, prep ingredients, serve pureed, mechanical soft, and textures diets 3x daily.
• Dishes and general cleaning.
• Serve residents' meals.
• Inventory stocking.
• Other duties as assigned.

Winning Wheels is located in Prophetstown, IL, and we are an 88 bed non-profit rehabilitation facility for young adults designed for those diagnosed with Spinal Cord and Traumatic Brain Injuries as well as other neurological impairments.

Positions available:

1 Full time day shift 5a-130p (temporary)

1 Full swing shift 5a-130p or 11a-730p

PRN Cook (open availability)

All positions must work every other weekend and some holidays.
