Purpose:

· Prepare food items for the Susquehanna Park participants.

Supervision Received:

· Receives direct supervision from the House Manager.

Supervision Exercised:

N/A

Qualifications:

• · High School diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years experience in the food services industry preparing large quantities of food in a cafeteria, restaurant, or institutional setting; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required. Must have knowledge of nutrition, portion control and requisitioning.
• · Must have Serve Safe Certification.
• · Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• · Be able to work with homeless individuals with substance abuse and/or mental health disorders.
• · Very good analytical and organizational skills.

Scope:

• · Must be available for local travel.
• · Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• · Frequent talking and listening.
• · Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, climb stairs and bend which include direct intervention with clients.
• · May require crisis intervention in emergency situations.
• · May stand for extended periods of time.
• · Requires lifting and/or carrying up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
• · Must be available to work flexible hours, in accordance with client needs and scheduling.
• · May be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
