Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus and recipes, ensure quality, taste, and presentation, and maintain food safety standards.

You will interact positively with residents, staff and guests, and assist with inventory and supplies. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and compliance with vaccination policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food prep experience preferred.
• Able to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must meet COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand/bend/walk for long periods.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
