Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility.

You will follow planned menus and recipes, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. The role involves fostering positive interactions with residents and staff, supporting inventory, and complying with dietary requirements and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous cook/food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies may apply as per state/county rules.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean and orderly.

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
