Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will uphold food quality, safety, and presentation while engaging with residents and staff to deliver excellent service.

Responsibilities include following menus, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. A high school diploma and previous cooking experience are preferred, with required certifications and residency within the service area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand for extended periods.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state law.
• Residency within service area.

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
